Keeping your data safe and respecting your privacy is very important to me and I am the only person who has access to the personal data you have given me.
I am likely to hold your name and the address, phone number and email address you give me at the onset of our work so that we can communicate with each other when necessary, along with the ‘Agreement’ and ‘Personal History’ sheets that you may complete. If you pay fees by Bank Transfer then my bank will hold the details you give them. Brief written notes are made, as necessary, on paper, of our sessions.
Keeping your data safe:
I store your e-mail address on ‘Outlook’ and my technical devices are all password protected. I use anti-virus software and host-based firewalls on these technical devices. Your telephone number, address and my notes are kept in paper format in a locked cabinet. If we have decided to use our mobile phones to communicate, then your phone number will be logged in my phone address book until the period of therapy is concluded. My phone is password protected.
My professional trustees only have access to your contact details should I die unexpectedly while still maintaining my practice.
